A Place to Gather What I’m Learning

For as long as I can remember, I've been really curious about the human experience: what shapes us, what helps us, and why certain things seem to work for one person and not another.

This has led me down a lot of different paths over the years: personal growth, yoga and meditation, holistic nutrition, coaching, somatic practices, neurodivergence, and now psychology. It has also resulted in a rather enormous collection of books, articles, notes, half-finished thoughts, saved resources and rabbit holes.

HCWC is partly an attempt to give all of that somewhere to live.

I'm currently studying psychology full-time while continuing to offer coaching, and I wanted a space where those different parts of my work and interests could exist together. Somewhere I can think out loud, explore ideas thoughtfully, organize useful resources, and share things that might help someone else make sense of their own experience.

Some of what I write here will draw on research. Some will come from training or professional experience. And some will simply come from lived experience, curiosity, experimentation, and the things I'm still figuring out myself. I'll try to be clear about the difference.

I intend to write about nervous-system regulation, neurodivergence, burnout, trauma, personal growth, coping, nature, nutrition, and whatever else piques my curiosity along the way.

More than anything, I want this to become a useful place to return to: for me, for the people I work with, and hopefully for people who find their way here.

I'm not entirely sure what it will become yet. But I've had some version of this space in my head for years, and eventually realized that I might need to just start before I'll know what it becomes.

So, this is me beginning.

Thanks for being here.
